The idea to provide affordable holiday accommodation in North Queensland actually originated 1971.
The North Queensland Area Holiday Resorts (NQAHR) formed and its first resort, the Mandalay at Palm Cove near Cairns further North in Queensland.
This property ppened in 1975 and nestled in the foothills of Magnetic Island National Park, boasting a large Magnesium Salt Pool, Wading Pool, large open spaces, tennis courts, BBQ area and playground is the place you won’t want to leave our 10 Acre Tropical Resort in the heart of Magnetic Island.
Now revitalising as 71 Mandalay from the Studio to apartment rooms, singles to large groups, weekends to extended stays we have your accommodation needs covered.
